Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç has been removed from the active lineup at Eternal Fire and placed on the transfer list, the organization revealed Monday evening.

In a [link:{"url":"https://twitter.com/xfl0udcsgo/status/1650562220378447872","isNewTab":true,"text":"Tweet "}]following yesterday's news, xfl0ud explains that his benching is due to role problems within the roster.

- I am benched from the active roster in Eternal Fire due to some role problems and they allow me to search for new opportunities. I wish good luck to the team and thanks to all people I worked with & who had big work in our success in that 2~ year adventure, we made Major and that is the biggest point for me, xfl0ud notes and continues:

- From now on I'll grind both CS:GO and CS2 in FPL and stream sometimes, going to stay in shape until new opportunities come.

This is the second time xfl0ud is being demoted from the Turkish side after yet another lacklustre period for the young rifler, who’s averaged a 0.96 rating throughout 2023.

The promising talent and Eternal Fire academy member Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın is set to fill out the void temporarily.

Eternal Fire took upon Bad News Eagles in the CCT Central Europe Malta Final 1 Grand Final. During the decider, Bad News Eagles were up 11-10 on the T side of Vertigo. With just a five-seven and a defuse kit, xfl0ud stole away the round from Bad news Eagles. In a 3vs1 situation, the bomb was planted and time was about to run out. The Turkish rifler rushed in and defused the bomb as all Bad News Eagles players ran away trying to hunt down the only player remaining.

Eternal Fire won the map and the tournament after they took down Bad News Eagles 19-16 on Vertigo.

Yet another elimination game was on the schedule when MIBR and Eternal Fire took to the servers tonight. After both going 1-1 on day 1, the two teams lost to Spirit and Astralis and now had to fight for survival.

With the first pick of the Bo3, Etercan Fire went with Vertigo, but would soon regret that decision as MIBR's CT side defense was close to impenetrable. The Turkish troops had a rough start at 0-6, and the Brazilians looked like they might run away with it. But despite the bad start the Turks managed to pick up four rounds before the break.

Eternal Fire looked sharper on the CT side where they started with a 9-2 run that equalized the score at 13-13. In the end, the Brazilians were just a tad too sharp and MIBR stole away the Turks' map pick.

The second map of Nuke's early game was defined by "Tuurtle" and "xfl0ud", who from different sides both played amazingly. The two young riflers were miles ahead of anyone on the scoreboard, but with a little more help from his team, "xfl0ud" and Eternal Fire walked away with a 9-6 CT side half.

Switching to the CT side, MIBR turned the game on its head with an eight-round streak. Eternal Fire managed to stem the bleeding for just a second with a couple of rounds of their own but were not able to do more than that as the Brazilians reached 16.

MIBR are now 2-2 and will be playing a do-or-die match tomorrow. Eternal Fire on the other hand is eliminated from the Major at 1-3.

Robin “flusha” Rönnquist will not play under the GORILLAZ-banner going into next year, the Swede has confirmed on Monday via his [link:{"url":"https://twitter.com/flusha/status/1467886099838210053","isNewTab":true,"text":"Twitter"}]. In the announcement, flusha affirms that he’s still committed to playing competitive esports as he states “Looking for new opportunities next year”.  

The former Fnatic profile and three-time Major winner is therefore set to leave the CS:GO project, which he co-founded with Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi back in April this year. The experienced duo joined forces with suNny’s countryman and former ENCE star Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo alongside the likes of Buğra “Calyx” Arkın and Rokas “EspiranTo” Milasauskas. However, the international mix didn’t manage to find a consistent level or any particular success in the tier-2 scene.

Since its creation, GORILLAZ hasn’t had a stable lineup where multiple players have been in and out of the team, either on trial or as stand-ins. Some of the most renowned names are Jesper "JW" Wecksell, Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen, and Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç.
