Sign up to mentor at CCCC in Houston! Deadline March 5

The CCCC Committee on the Status of Graduate Students (SOGS) and the WPA Graduate student Organization (WPA-GO) are excited to co-host Mentoring @ Cs (M@Cs), a one-year old event at this year’s CCCC conference in Houston, Texas!
The deadline for signing up was March 1, but we’re in need of more mentors, so we’re extending the opportunity to sign up to be a mentor to March 5. Please fill out this google form to sign up as a mentor.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE:
Mentees: Graduate students, recent post-grads, new and up-and-coming faculty and staff, and first-time conference attendees.
Mentors: Faculty, staff, and veteran conference attendees of all rank and category with experience, guidance, and friendliness to share.
HOW IT WORKS:
Mentors and mentees will meet at the conference to chat over food and drink and/or attend a session of mutual interest. We’ll pair you up based on the interests you identify in this form, then put you in touch a couple of weeks before the conference to decide when/where to meet.
WHEN/WHERE TO MEET:
Join us for one or more of the following, or arrange a time/place that works for you:
Social Sponsored by WPA-GO: an informal gathering with free drink tickets for the first rush of attendees. Thursday, April 7, 8pm – Location TBA
Breakfast Sponsored by SOGS: a semi-structured meet and greet session over free coffee, juice, bagels and pastries.
