In April this year, the CS:GO world saw the rise of a new and promising roster called GORILLAZ, led by Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist and Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi. Besides the former mouz and fnatic profiles, the two experienced veterans brought in the likes of Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo, Rokas "⁠EspiranTo⁠" Milasauskas, and Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen.

However, the time has come for NaToSaphiX who now has been dropped by the new team, flusha has announced on Twitter this Wednesday.

- Was an insanely good time with the Gorillaz-guys. Some of the nicest people I’ve met in esports for sure and will miss them all until next time They decided to search for a guy who is more “natural” in a rifle-role, something I am not yet as I was AWP most of my career, NaToSaphiX writes on Twitter.

NaToSaphiX looks forward to a new challenge following the departure from GORILLAZ, with the 24-year-old Dane expressing his desire to "start a new CS:GO journey" as an AWP + IGL or as a Rifler. The versatile player has previously represented strong teams like Heroic, mousesports and Sprout, where he showed promising abilities from time to time.

A new profiled roster has seen the light in the CS:GO landscape, as the former c0ntact coach Neil "⁠NeiL_M⁠" Murphy has joined forces with a mix of Swedish and Lithuanian players. The new team haven’t been signed by an organization yet and will play under the banner of MANS NOT HOT.

The Swedish-Lithuanian roster is led by the former NIP player Simon "⁠twist⁠" Eliasson and the 20-year-old Rokas "⁠EspiranTo⁠" Milasauskas, who both looks to be the highlight players on the newly-created squad. The duo is joined by the Swedes Robin "⁠robiin⁠" Sjögren and Denis "⁠grux⁠" Gutaj, while EspiranTo’s countryman Armandas "⁠maty⁠" Kneita round up the roster.

Head coach, NeiL_M has given the following statement to HLTV: 

- Our goals are simple, to create a new international home where each player is at his highest peak in their most impactful role to shine. All five players here are slotted into the most natural role that they wanted, we've already started to practice as much as possible. We're ready to compete in events to grind our way up the ladder and prove who we are.

The newly established roster of GORILLAZ has removed Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas from their active lineup, the 20-year-old confirms on Twitter. The former CR4ZY and c0ntact player is being axed after a 1-month tenure with flusha and company because he didn’t fit into the team’s role and playstyle.

EspiranTo is known for being a fierce and powerful rifler, however, at GORILLAZ, the Lithuanian hasn’t displayed exactly that. Throughout his 13 matches with the team, he averaged a 0.95 Rating, which is miles away from his all-time rating of 1.11.

- So yes I have been removed from the Gorillaz team, I couldn't adapt to the roles I was given and the playstyle we had and I underperformed heavily. I tried my best, but I guess some things are just not meant to be.

But in a positive side It's a good kick in the ass to start grinding even more. Best of luck to them, and thank you for the opportunity. And me, for now, will continue playing and improving and looking for other opportunities.

Since the start of the year, discussions and rumors about a new roster featuring Robin "flusha" Rönnquist and Miikka "suNny" Kemppi have been floating around. Due to a lack of interest from organizations the project was delayed. Today, however, it has been confirmed by "flusha" that the line-up has been finalized for now and that an organization is ready to bring them back on to the professional Counter-Strike scene. 

In conversation with HLTV the 26-year-old "sunNy" confirms the newly founded team, as well as the fact that four out of the five players have signed with the organization: 

"Today we can finally confirm that this project is actually happening and we have started to practice. It will be a long road ahead but happy to work with these players,"  He continues by stating: "Four of us have signed and we will be starting with flusha, sergej, EspiranTo, me, and trialing Calyx as our last piece of the puzzle."

In January this year, the legendary Swede Robin "flusha" Rönnquist were removed from fnatic’s active roster, as the Counter-Strike veteran wished to start a new adventure with a completely new roster. The 27-year old rifler stated that he had talks with Miikka "suNny" Kemppi, and that they will partner each other in a new potential top CS:GO team.

After some months without any concrete news regarding their plans, players, and organization, several rumours can tell that they have found their complete roster. flusha and suNny have allegedly managed to sign the profiled and promising Finn Jere "sergej" Salo, who is most known for his remarkable tenure at ENCE.

It’s the website GAMEINSIDE.UA that has published a report stating that the Russian team 1win has practised and played against the newly established roster.

If the rumours are true, the roster possesses these players:

ottoNd and EspiranTo’s time in c0ntact has come to and end and they are both now free agents, the duo announced on Twitter. From the remaining players that played under the c0ntact banner at the end of 2020, reports linked Lotan “Spinx Gliadi and Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer to ENCE, while Rigon “rigoN” Gashi already had announced his free agency.

On Twitter ottoNd wrote that he is “ready to do whatever it takes”, while EspiranTo mentioned he is “ready to compete and play whatever role needed to achieve success”.

The news of the duo was released exactly a year after c0ntact completed the transfer from their former organization CR4ZY.

Starting on Train, c0ntact’s map pick, it was clear that both teams had come to fight. With Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye on top of the leaderboard with 27 kills, Faze proved themselves the stronger European roster on Train and won 16-11. 

The second map on Dust2 was as close as the first. This time however it was c0ntact to push for the map win. And with an “EspiranTo” on fire, they managed to defeat the giants from Faze 16-13 and force a final map to determine the victor of the series.

Many people wouldn’t have predicted the series to go all three maps, but it was clear that the underdogs from c0ntact refused to give up without a fight. Going back and forth, either of the teams refused to give an inch to their opponents. A winner wasn’t to be found in the first 30 rounds, which meant overtime. The upset from c0ntact, however, wasn't meant to be as Faze closed out overtime with a 19-16 map win and thereby a series win of 2-1.

With their win against c0ntact, Faze is set to play against the loser of Gambit – Complexity on Thursday to fight for their life at DreamHack Masters Winter 2020.

The Heroes from Denmark opened DreamHack Masters Winther with a match against c0ntact. The Danes were heavy favorites to take home the victory beforehand.

But it started difficult for Heroic in the first half against c0ntact on Mirage. It was not until stavn and cadiaN got their double AWP-setup to work, that they started to pose a threat to c0ntact, who started brilliantly on Mirage. From 2-9, Heroic took nine rounds in a row to turn the match around, before c0ntact managed to win a round.

But the Danish Heroes were far too strong on their T-side. cOntact only managed to win two rounds in the second half, which ended with a 16-11 Heroic win.

The Danes had Nuke lined up as their map pick. A favorite for the Danes, who has won 79% of all their matches here.

But with a Desert Eagle in his hands, Lithuanian Rokas “EspiranTo” Milasauskas was beginning to become a problem for Heroic. Together with Spinx, the two c0ntact players kept their team in the match until 10-10.

From here on the Danish side turned on the aggression and left no chance for c0ntact. The number 2 in the world won the last six rounds and won the game with 16-10.

Heroic will face the winner of FaZe and Team Spirit in the next round. c0ntact will face the loser in the lower bracket.
